अग्नि तत्व
अग्नि यानि ऊर्जा, वैसे तो अग्नि के विभिन्न स्रोत होते है, परन्तु धरती पर ऊर्जा का प्रमुख स्रोत सूर्य है। सूर्य से हमें ऊर्जा के साथ गर्मी (उष्णता) भी प्राप्त होती हैं जोकि अग्नि का ही एक स्वरूप होता है।
पृथ्वी के द्वारा सूर्य के चारों ओर चक्कर लगाने से दिन और रात बनते हैं जिसका कारण पृथ्वी के सभी हिस्सों पर कभी प्रकाश और कभी अंधकार का वातावरण बनता है, एवं प्रकाश मिलने से प्राणियों में उत्साह, साहस एवं शक्ति निर्मित होती है।
विश्व में अधिकांशतः इस तरह से भवन या कालोनी बसाई जाती हैं कि वहां पर पर्याप्त मात्रा में घर के अंदर सूर्य ऊर्जा का प्रवाह हो सके। क्योंकि सूर्य ऊर्जा सभी के लिये आवश्यक होती है परन्तु सूर्य का तेज और उसकी तीक्ष्ण रश्मियां घर पर ज्यादा भी नहीं पड़ने चाहिये।
कयोंकि जिन भवनों में ज्यादा सूर्य की ऊर्जा पहुंचती है वहां मकानों में रहने वाले लोग परेशान रहते हैं। क्योंकि दोपहर तक तपते हुए सूर्य के कारण सारा घर गर्म हो जाता है।
अतः वास्तु में भवन बनाते समय इस बात का ध्यान अवश्य रखना होता है कि आवासीय घर में अग्नि तत्व का सुख आनुपातिक सम्मिश्रण होना चाहिए ताकि सर्दी - गर्मी के मौसम में विपरीत प्रकार का अनुभव मिलता रहे।
