खुदाई व जुताई अनुसार भूमि का चयन

भूखंड में यदि गोश्रंग, शंख, कछुआ आदि मिले तो उस भूमि को शुभ एवं लाभप्रद भूमि समझना चाहिए। भूमि खोदने पर पत्थर मिलने पर स्वर्ण लाभ, ईंट मिलने पर समृद्वि, द्रव्य मिले तो तन सुख और ताम्र आदि धातुएं मिलें तो ऐश्वर्य और सुख मिलता है।

जिस भूमि पर गृह बनवाना हो उसे जुतवाकर उसमें यथा संभव सभी तरह के अनाज बो दें। यदि वे बीज तीन रात्रि में अंकुरित हो जायें तो उस भूमि को उत्तम, पांच रात्रि में अंकुरित हो तो मध्यम और सात रात्रि में अंकुरित हो तो अशुभ समझें।

ब्रीहि, मूंग, गेहूँ, सरसों, साठी, तिल, जौ ये सात औषधियां हैं। इन्हें सर्व बीज कहा जाता है। इन सभी बीजों को बोने के बाद फलों को देखना चाहिये। जिस भूमि में स्वर्ण या तांबे के रंग के पुष्प दिखायी दें वह भूखंड आवासीय भूखंड हेतू शुभ फलदायी है।
